I know, Dad, I know. You weren't exactly a fan of Father's Day. "You should remember your parents every day," you would say. And I do, Dad, I do. Even though you've been gone almost five years now, you've never left me. You've never left my thoughts and you've never left my heart. There's not a day that goes by that I don't pause for at least a moment and smile with gratitude. But I've finally realized what the real benefit of Father's Day is. It's so I can share those thoughts and those feelings and those memories with everyone else, so I can tell everyone what a wonderful Father I had, how grateful I am, how much I miss you, and how much I love you still.
