After a month, it's over. Felicidades Espana on a deserved win; there was a lot of emotion at the end there and understandably so. Even watching from afar, and with my team having been knocked out two weeks ago, it was pretty stirring stuff. I had hoped to be in South Africa covering the tournament, but in a way I'm somewhat glad I wasn't. I enjoyed being able to watch all the matches at home. But the end of the World Cup is also the end of my self-enforced period of relative laxity. It is time to knuckle down and sweat out the work again. Of that, more later ...
