I'm still in Europe, and will be until mid-June. I am on a six-month contract as Arctic Project Leader for Greenpeace International, developing and implementing an expedition to Greenland and the Arctic Ocean on board the "Arctic Sunrise." I won't actually be on board - I didn't want to be out of circulation for four months. This job seems to primarily involve shoving shit uphill with a toothpick, but incredibly, thanks to a great team, it's actually all coming together. The ship leaves on June 11, and promises to be a great expedition, highlighting climate change in the Arctic in conjunction with teams of researchers from the United States and the United Kingdom. I'll post updates as they occur.

Hello Kevin:
I came across your name while drifting down memory lane and looking up some old greenpeace friends. Lesley Scheele's name figured prominently in a blog you wrote back in 2007, and your description of my dear friend made me smile, remembering her sitting on the back porch at the Lauderdale house, smoking and drinking beer and solving the problems of the world. Thanks for bringing her back, briefly. Best of luck on your latest Greenpeace adventure.
